Romsey Youth Children’s Choir

In concert in Romsey Abbey

Does your child love to sing? Romsey Youth Children’s choir was set up in September 2016 for children aged 8 to 11 who enjoy singing. During its first year, the children’s choir was awarded a trophy for their performance at the Southampton Music Festival and has taken part in various concerts including performances in Romsey Abbey, Thornden Concert Hall, Crossfield Hall and The Anvil Basingstoke. In Oct 2018 they performed in a joint concert in Romsey URC that raised over £3000 for the Guide Dogs for the Blind charity.

Singing is great fun and a wonderful way of building young people’s confidence, making new friends and being a part of a team. There are no auditions but we do ask for commitment to rehearsals and concerts where possible.

Romsey Youth Children’s Choir rehearsals are held on Tuesdays starting at 5:00pm and finishing at 6:15pm in

The Music and Drama Building, The Romsey School, Greatbridge Road, Romsey, SO51 8ZB

If your child would like to join the choir or you would like any more information, please contact me on

The choir is free to join but we do ask for commitment from the members to attend rehearsals and concerts – bringing as many supporters as possible.

The choir uniform is a red, blue or purple RYC T-shirt and a Black Hoody – these cost £7 and £17 respectively.
