Romsey Youth Children’s Choir

We are looking forward to taking part in two concerts in Romsey Abbey in December – the George’s Trust Christmas Concert and RYC’s own Christmas Celebration Concert.  We were so pleased to be able to continue rehearsing this term in the Romsey URC.

Their last concert was the 2021 RYC Summer Concert – it was such a fantastic experience after such a tough year.

Does your child love to sing? Romsey Youth Children’s choir was set up in September 2016 for children aged 8 to 11 who enjoy singing. If your child would like to join the choir or you would like any more information, please contact Marion to see if we have any places on

During its first five years, the children’s choir has been awarded trophies for their performances at the Southampton Music Festival and has taken part in various concerts including performances in Romsey Abbey, Romsey URC, Thornden Concert Hall, Crossfield Hall and The Anvil Basingstoke.  So far this academic year we have already performed three times; at a charity fayre concerts, a fund-raising concert for the air ambulance and the Romsey Abbey Harvest Festival.

Singing is great fun and a wonderful way of building young people’s confidence, making new friends and being a part of a team.  The choir is free to join and there are no auditions but we do ask for commitment to attend rehearsals and concerts where possible – bringing as many supporters as possible.

The choir uniform is a red, blue or purple RYC T-shirt and a Black Hoody – these cost £7 and £17 respectively.
